At The Glo we’re all about helping women IGNITE THE GLO from within. We offer low impact, high intensity workouts that are safe, effective, and accessible for all levels of fitness. Our Glo Squad is made up of women of all ages, backgrounds, body types, and fitness levels! You’re going to fit right in!!!
Our workouts all were designed to be full body workouts that can stand alone, but also compliment each other perfectly. Each of our classes taps in to different elements of physical fitness and targets different muscle groups. We want to keep your body guessing and give you a well-rounded fitness experience.
Barre is a low impact, high intensity, booty lifting, core tightening, leg shaking, arm sculpting, workout! This combination of Pilates and ballet set to upbeat music tones, sculpts, and lengthens muscles. At The Glo we incorporate cardio burst mixed in with the typical small isometric movements in your traditional barre class. It's fun, it's fast paced and low impact. NO DANCE EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Barre at The Glo is accessible for any body type and all levels of fitness.
Boxing at The Glo was created to strengthen and empower! We follow the Boxing & Barbells formula created by Olympic level trainer, Cary Williams. Boxing & Barbells creates a synergy between boxing and strength training. Both are highly effective in improving cardiovascular health and building muscular strength, mobility and mind-body connection. This class challenges your grit AND grace!
Bounce is our signature full body workout using Jumpsport mini trampolines. This musically driven cardio packed class burns more calories than running, engages every muscle in the body, and cleanses the lymphatic system, helping to reduce inflammation. Plus, it’s the most fun you’ll ever have working out.
Cardio Kickboxing is made to make you sweat! While we typically have a more traditional boxing class in our studio, this class is made to get your heart rate up without any heavy equipment. This musically driven class is inspired by traditional kickboxing, uses punches, kicks, and your own body weight to work up a sweat and build strength and endurance.
Sculpt is our non-cardio muscle toning class that focuses primarily on core strength. We use light hand weights, ankle weights, bands, and resistance tubes to sculpt muscles and get a good burn.
Our mission has always been to help women look and feel their best and to ignite the glo from within. We’ve expanded this vision in our local Tallahassee studio to serve more women in our community,
The Glo was founded by Kirsten Strickland. Kirsten has been teaching group fitness for almost a decade. She was inspired by the GLOW that she saw in her students when they started making healthier lifestyle choices and she created The Glo to expand that impact. Her passion for helping women, and love for teaching, is the driving force behind The Glo.
